More stuff to make me think SEGA is releasing a new console

Neptune as Purple HeartFor those of you who have no yet read my previous post about SEGA possibly releasing a new console, click here to read about it.

I have gotten further in Hyperdimension Neptunia and I just viewed some optional scenes. In the first of these scenes, a boy goes to get a console repaired. The description of the console matches the Mega Drive (Genesis to you Americans) mentioning the "Morotola 68000 processor" that it has inside it. The Mega Drive has a Motorola 68000 processor. In the second of these scenes, the boy mentions that while he appreciates the 16-bit console and games, he also enjoys the later 32 bit console, of which IF states is "the one which sold the least out of all their products" which again matches the Saturn.

Now, in the third of these scenes, the boy shouts at the director of the gaming company that made the consoles he enjoys so much, saying that they suck and things like that. He then explains to the party that it's his way of cheering them on and that "it'll motivate them to develop a new console." The scene closes with Compa saying "Wh-What is this melodramatic ski8t doing in this game...?" which further solidifies my theories.

Referencing two previous SEGA consoles then mentioning making a new one? I know what I'm thinking... and so do you since I've just typed out this blog post.

SEGA may be releasing a new console

Hyperdimension Neptunia EU CaseI've been recently playing the PS3 game Hyperdimension Neptunia which is focused on four goddesses who rule over four different lands. There's Black Heart, Noire who rules over Lastation, Green Heart, Vert who rules over Leanbox, White Heart, Blanc who rules over Lowee and finally, the player character Purple heart, Neptune, who rules over Planeptune.

The game is made by five companies: Nippon Ichi Software, Gust, Idea Factory, Compile Heart and SEGA. Along with the four goddesses, there are four characters. Compa, IF, Gust and Nisa.

In case you couldn't work it out, the goddesses represent game consoles and the characters represent game companies. The companies are Nisa - Nippon Ichi Software, Gust - Gust, IF - Idea Factory and Compa - Compile Heart whereas the consoles are Black Heart (Lastation) - Playstation 3, Green Heart (Leanbox) - Xbox 360 and White Heart (Lowee) - Wii. But if you count, there's no character personifying SEGA, and there's an extra goddess who doesn't represent a console. This is where my theory that SEGA plan to release a new console comes from.

Now, I do realise that the name "Neptune" is a reference to the SEGA Saturn but why is she purple?

All of SEGA's consoles have been black, except for the Dreamcast which was white. Now, I realise that Neptune couldn't be the Black Heart because that's taken by the Playstation 3 but wouldn't it have made sense to make Neptune the either the Blue Heart or Red Heart in this case? The reason I say Red Heart is because if you look at the SEGA Master System and the Mega Drive (Genesis to you Americans) you'll see that there is red on them. Blue Heart is simply because their logo is blue and their mascot is blue.

Of course, I could just be reading in to it too much but if SEGA do release a new console, just know that I was the first to call it.

Round 3

It took a while but someone got the answer to round 2. These are the current standings:

Hazel - 1
MiniDave - 1

I know that most of my readers (if there are even any left) probably wouldn't have heard this one so I'll give you a clue by telling you that the singer is Bentley Jones.

A little game

I'm bored so I created this game. I may give out a prize to the winner but I'm not guaranteeing anything.

HOW TO PLAY: I will take the lyrics of popular, mainstream songs but only post the first letter of each word. Your job is to figure out what song it is.

EXAMPLE: I'll use a song that most of you will probably not have heard for this example.

The opening verse of the song "Open your heart" by Crush 40 goes like this:

Thunder, rain and lightning
Danger, water rising
Clamour, sirens wailing
It's such a bad sign

For this game, I would post that as:

T, r a l
D, w r
C, s w
I s a b s

If you want to play, just put in the comments the song title and author. For songs that have been covered, any of the artists that have sung it will do.

Let's start the game!

We'll start with an easy one:
